Differences Between Men and Women

According to SSA, although men are more likely  than women to be insured for Title II benefits, the gender gap is shrinking!  The proportion of men who are insured has declined slightly since 1970, with 89% fully insured and 78% insured for disability in 2014.  By contrast, the proportion of women who are insured has increased dramatically — from 63% to 85% fully insured and from 41% to 73% insured for disability.

Having worked and paid taxes since I was 15 years old, I am proud to be insured for disability and retirement and one day, I plan to collect.
